CHARACTER NAME: Lehna Jacaan, the Warrior of Light, the Azure Dragoon
CANON: Final Fantasy XIV
CANON POINT: patch 6.55 (will be updating to 7.0 almost immediately, it releases on 6/28
AGE: 30
BACKGROUND: here (custom lore) & here (wol lore) (she does not stray too far from default WoL, but there are some notes on her personal description for what is different)
SUITABILITY: As a Warrior of Light, Lehna has always done whatever it takes to keep her people and Etheirys safe from harm. Being offered an opportunity like this was something she could not turn down--even if she had wanted to, which she did not. Though she's never really viewed herself as an influence back home, she is one: people look to the Warrior of Light for guidance. She thinks it's going to be an easy way to grant her wish--her world remaining safe even without her, as her near run in with death after Ultima Thule made her realize just how mortal she really is. She wants to ensure the safety of Etheirys and the rest of the universe after defeating the Endsinger and the Final Days (basically the apocalypse) and, most important to her: her friends.
As far as it being a sex game goes, Lehna has always been open for casual sex--and now she sees it as an opportunity for her to gain even more from it than just pleasure! The idea of some things being watched by others will be interesting for her, though not necessarily positive or negative at first as she adjusts to the idea of it.Social media is going to be a new concept to her, and she's going to struggle once she realizes that everything she does is watched, which she didn't quite grasp the depth of when she signed the contract. Drama will be had when she realizes that not everyone in the universe will respect her the same way people do back home, and it will be a fun wake up call for her!
CHARACTER ARC PLANS: Lehna needs to realize that she does have influence over others and she needs to be exceedingly careful with what she does with that influence. Everyone looks to the Warrior of Light and many consider her a savior--but just as many consider her a villain (such as the people of Garlemald). I'd love for her to grapple with things like conflicts/getting cancelled over the most minor things so she can come to terms with the fact that no matter what she does, not everyone is going to like her. Additionally, she needs to meet more people who are strong just like she is (or stronger!). Though she has powerful friends back home, she's still seen as more powerful than almost anyone--in a panfandom game, I love the idea of her struggling with not being the most powerful anymore. She needs to get her ass beat.
COLLATERAL: The Echo - this is the main source of the WoL's powers: it gives them the ability to speak and understand all languages, see flashes of the past, and resist tempering/possession to a high degree. Returning home without this would knock her down several pegs. For additional collateral that may be used, job stones are how characters in FFXIV use the powers associated with their combat jobs. Lehna could also put up her gunbreaker and/or dragoon job stones if necessary--without those, she loses most of her combat capabilities completely.
ADDITIONAL CONTRACT CLAUSES: this section is optional. does your character plan to negotiate any additional contract clauses? if no, please put n/A. here are some ideas of what characters may be able to negotiate for: a few extra days at home to wrap up affairs before arriving in-game, special treatment for another character in-game or apping in-game, special treatment for themselves (starting at a higher tier, unlimited credits, a nicer room etc.), treatment for a terminal illness, an advance in aid to their home world etc. let me know what the character may want, and we can go from there.
PERSONALITY: charismatic, stubborn, adventurous, flirtatious, competitive, overprotective
INVENTORY: Dragoon job stone, Gunbreaker job stone, her dragoon lance, and some basic clothing items. (she would have only had one weapon with her at a time, so her gunblade will need to be retrieved at a later time!)
SKILLS/ABILITIES: can be found here under the "abilities" section!
GAMEBREAKING POWERS? She can kill a lot of stuff without much issue, but beyond that I don't think there's anything majorly game-breaking!

info
she is a skilled dragoon and gunbreaker with a strong desire to keep her friends safe even if it would cost her own life or happiness. that said, she is anything but selfless--she has little regard for their own desires when it comes to self-sacrifice.
Although Lehna would tell anyone that she grew up in Old Sharlayan, what is less known is that she actually grew up in Sharlayan--the colony in Dravania--until it was fled.
Lehna ran away from home as the colony was being evacuated, wishing to stay close to the dragons and Coerthas, as her dream was always to become a dragoon. She was found by a gruff man named Zach who attempted to find her mother's Keeper of the Moon clan, not knowing that it was actually a cult of miqo'te who detested Menphina and a cult that thought Lehna, with her Echo, was the perfect candidate to channel their divinity. Zach kidnapped Lehna before the ritual was completed, but this completely broke any potential relationship Lehna could have had with her mother.
After a year or so, Zach realized that Lehna's father was in Old Sharlayan and had been frantically looking for her. Despite Lehna's insistence that she did not want to go there, Zach determined it was safer than having a child tag along with his mercenary work and tricked her into returning home. Though Lehna was resentful, she was grateful when her father agreed to keep Zach as Lehna's trainer. Zach taught her everything he knew about combat and although he was a viper and not a dragoon, he did everything he could to teach Lehna how to properly wield a lance.
Eventually as Lehna grew, her resentment for her father grew more and more. Her father thought education was of utmost importance, but Lehna was dyslexic and, unfortunately, neither of them were able to work that out in order to help Lehna have an easier time learning.
Zach eventually left to assist in a great Calamity that was occurring as the moon Dalamud began approaching the planet. Zach never returned and was presumed dead. Lehna refused to accept this and, at age 21, decided to go to Eorzea and chase after Zach and start her own adventures.
This is where the traditional timeline of FFXIV's canon begins, and Lehna follows it mostly the same. A skilled lancer, it did not take long for Alberic to request her help in chasing down a rogue dragoon. This eventually led to her becoming the Azure Dragoon, one of the leaders in the city of Ishgard's centuries-long war with the dragons.
During the era of Shadowbringers, Lehna found herself struggling with the ability to maintain a connection with the aether provided by Nidhogg's eye (now gone completely except for the remaining tendrils tied to her and Estinien) due to light corruption. She picked up gunbreaker instead, hoping the excess of light-aspected aether would assist her in protecting her friends with Hydaelyn's blessing.
